Happy New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve!!!! I'd like to wish all everyone a happy new year, with lots of love, good health, puppies, and everything else that's good ;)

Puppies' Day Out!

Today was Puppies' Day Out! A day where Sam and Calvin, and Amy and Winter came out to Toronto to play! It was an awesome day (better than yesterday, when Kodak unravelled an entire toilet paper roll)

At two, I met Amy, Sam, Calvin and Winter at the subway station, and after a quick pee, we headed into the mall. Our first attempt at lunch was a complete failure, as we could not find a single table. So, we headed downstairs to PJ's pet store, where Amy bought a new black kong for Winter. We also looked at some of the puppies, and Kodak sniffed the kittens.

We then went back for lunch again, and this time we were luckier- a couple vacated a table just as we got there. We then had a quick lunch (if you are REALLY interested, Amy had a sub, Sam had McDonalds, and i had Arby's :P), which turned into a bit of a photo-op of the puppies.









After that, we headed up to the theatres to watch Cheaper By The Dozen 2. It wasn't the greatest movie, but it was pretty good. The best part was probably the ones with the dog and the mouse, but the Sarah-Eliot plotline was funny too. The puppies were very, very well-behaved through the entire movie, except for one incident where Kodak tried to eat a piece of popcorn off the floor. We didn't all sit in aisle seats, as Amy drew in her weird diagram :P Just kidding, Amy :D We all sat in one row, but it wasn't too squishy.

After the movie, we took some pictures, and then went outside for another pee break. We stood there talking for almost an hour, and even though it was freezing cold, we had a good time-at least, i know i did :D

Overall, it was a very fun day, and Kodak was very sad to see his friends go (he tried to leap and follow them down the stairs). I can't wait til our next puppies' day out!

Doggie Fun!

Today, Kodak and I went for a little backyard play as usual. But when we got there, we saw a little brown nose sticking through the fence from one of our neighbour's yards! Kody was quick to go examine who it was. He soon found out it was Hailey, our neighbour's dog! I think she's about a year old now. She's a small golden retriever with beautful dark red fur.

When our neighbour saw Kodak, he invited us over to his yard to play. (Actually, he brought Hailey out to meet Kodak, and Kodak ran straight into the yard by himself lol) But it's all good, as he was going to invite us over anyways. We let Kodak and Hailey off their leashes and they ran around and around for a good half hour. They were so good together, and now they're best buddies!

The funniest part is when they would run together behind the porch thingy, and Kodak would hop up, but Hailey would run back to the front and Kodak would look around. You could just see on his face that he was thinking "Uh oh..where did Hailey go?". But then she would pop up in front of him, and they would start chasing each other again.

I would like to say that's he's napping now, but he's not. He's probably even more hyper now, and keeps running downstairs to smell the Christmas dinner that is cooking. :D

We are having some family and some family friends over tonight, a total of ten people, so i hope Kodak will behave himself! ;) I am sure he will have fun as he is just a social butterfly :D

He's Here!!!!

Hi!
This is Kodak's first full day here, and he is doing great! Yesterday, i went to Oakville straight after school to pick him up. There, i met Courtney, who gave me his instructions, crate and jacket. We talked about Sam for a bit (nothing bad, Sam, don't worry! :P)
At first, he refused to get in the car; he was pretty scared. But in the end, i got in first and my dad lifted him in, and after a few minutes he settled right down and spent the rest of the hour and half ride back to Toronto with his head in my lap :)
When we got home i took him to the backyard and we played there for a bit. He seemed right at home for the rest of the night, following me around and going out for two more runs/walks.
Right now she is passed out on the floor, and doing very well!
He is so awesome, and it's like my dream come true LOL :D

Merry Christmas to all of you, your families, and you four legged-pets :D I hope you all have a safe, happy and relaxing break!!

Pet Day! [1 Day!!!]

Hi everyone, I'm really sorry this is two days late, but i didn't get around to it on the actual day:(
Anyways, "today's" Puppy Pals are the home pets-who are also very important! :) The stars are Sam's silky terrier Noel, AmyG's Maggie and AmyB's husky/shepherd cross Chloe!
Sam tells me that Noel can be grumpy, but she looks adorable! ;) AmyG's Maggie has many different nicknames, thanks to Amy, such as Maggers and Ziggy (which is also her cat Gryphon's nickname). AmyB's Chloe is a rescue dog, and she does agility with Amy! :)

Eden Day! [2 Days!!!]

You may remember Echo Day two days ago...well today is Eden Day!
In case you haven't guessed by now, Eden is Echo's sister! Obviously, she was also born on July 6, and she is also five and a half months old ;) Eden is fostered by Lynn G, who also fostered Truffle and Naveed. Naveed is now a breeding dog for the Dogguide's breeding program. I've met Nav twice, got to work her both times. She is such a good good girl :D

Winter Day! [3 days!!!]

And I'm not talking about the season....
Today's Puppy Pal is Winter! She is a liver nosed yellow lab (hey Laura, sound familiar? :P) who is eight months, three weeks old. She was born to parents Daisy and Toby on March 28, 2005. She is known for her trademark hot pink collar and that scandalicious pink underwear :D Winter is fostered by AmyB, who also fostered Ice, a proud SSD graduate! Ice was paired with a university student from Saskatchewan and graduated on November 3, with his proud mom and lucky Sam in attendance.

Echo Day! [4 Days!!!]

4 days left!!! I spent a lot of today daydreaming about Kodak lol :D Anyways, today's Puppy Pal issssss Echo!! Echo was born on July 6th, 2005, which makes him a young five and a half months! Echo is fostered by AmyG, who also fostered Crispy. Crispy is in training for HED (Hearing Ear Dog) right now, and will be going home one day before Kodak, which is the 22nd! So lucky Amy only has to wait three more days!

Calvin Day! [5 Days!!!]

Ok, the countdown's on! 5 days til i get Kodak, and i'm VERY excited. Because i have nothing really to post about, i've decided to feature one of my puppy friends every day! :D Today's feature puppy is my very own godson, Calvin Andrew Hobbes! He is a six months old cream standard poodle who was born on June 10, 2005. He's fostered by Sam, who has also fostered Vortex (black lab), Baloo(yellow lab)and Dallas(black lab).

Good News!

I guess all those fingers, toes and paws were crossed very tightly, because......*drumroll please.....I'M GETTING A DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurray!!! I'm so beyond excited!! lol i know i'm not making any sense but whatever.
I'm picking up a white standard poodle named Kodak on the 23rd! YAY! I'll keep you updated! :D

Getting a Puppy(ish)!!!!

Sorry guys, this isn't the "real" post....but it's not a fake one either :D :D I read a little message on the Forums today about how the school I'm fostering for is looking for families to take some dogs-in-training over the holidays. So i got all excited, asked my mom, and when she said yes i started screaming and grinning like crazy. I could barely talk to Sam cuz i couldn't type at all!! Anyways, I'm just waiting for the call back to see if there is still a puppy available for me. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's too late...they're already way, WAY up. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Tip of the Day

To pass the days and fill this blog while waiting for the puppy to come, I've decided to come up with something new to write about: Tip of the Day! Yay! lol
So here's todays:

Today, I'm sixteen years young, so all you readers who live in the GTA.....you might want to consider staying off the roads til about 5 months after I've gotten my driver's license! ;)

Here's a bonus tip: When doing a group presentation in religion class, make sure that one girl knows that folk is pronounced foLk, NOT fok, and that sects has a T in it, or else you will end up with the entire class, including the teacher and the rest of the group members laughing hysterically, not paying attention to the presentation, failing the quiz, and if you are anything like me, end up laughing so hard you end up crying. It's just a thought.

Also, today in music class, we watched Les Choristes. Oh..my...god..this movie is AMAZING!! I didn't think i would like it; nobody did, because we were eager to practise our Pirates of the Caribbean music, but after it was done, everyone loved it. It was so good..the music was phenomenal, and the movie itself was so moving. I LOVED Pepinot, he is so cute!!! I would've adopted him if i could lol :) And Pierre was awesome too :D Yay!

I hope i actually have 100 things to say! Any of my friends will tell you i talk way too much, but it's harder to actually try to think of things to write....but knowing me, once i get started..well..you might want to leave at around 500...

1. I'm fifteen years old (sixteen in a 6 days! geez i'm old! no offense to anyone over the age of sixteen reading! :P)
2. I'm Canadian (Toronto rocks!)
3. And damn proud to be one :)
4. I'm a huge TML fan, even though i only started watching hockey last season (GO LEAFIES!)
5. Though i must admit my not-so-secret infatuation with Sidney Crosby, of the Pittsburgh Penguins (he's MINE michelle and nessa). He is SO man-pretty. <3
6.I love books and reading...yes i know i'm a nerd, get over it
7. I love my computer and TV
8. I have way too many favourite TV shows to count (including Friends, America's Next Top Model, Desperate Housewives)
9. I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres and her talk show! :D
10. Another couple not-so-secret infatuations of mine...Jesse Metcalfe and James Denton!!!
11. Dogs and animals in general, always make me go on a happy high,ALWAYS.

99. Especially cuz i only got seasick about two times, which is pretty good for someone who pretty much throws up everytime she gets on a boat
